Juliet's background demonstrates her breadth of knowledge, high standards of professional qualifications and experience of dealing with a broad client base.
Juliet graduated from Kingston University in July 1986 with a Bachelors Honours degree in Business Studies. During the course, Juliet gained valuable business experience with a year in marketing at IBM in Chiswick and Richmond, Greater London.
On graduation, Juliet joined the United Biscuits graduate management programme. She subsequently moved into the accountancy profession with an accountancy practice in the West of England. During this time, she advised and assisted clients ranging from sole traders to family-run companies on their tax, audit and accountancy matters.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Juliet moved to a Salisbury firm of accountants, where she started specialising in tax generally, but in particular employee taxes.
In 1996, Juliet joined KPMG, a leading international firm of accountants, in the City of London and worked in their Employee Issues Group, advising employees and their employers on UK employee taxation and, in particular, advising on expatriate taxation.
During her time at KPMG, she soon qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (a notoriously difficult qualification to obtain) and advised well-known companies and multinationals.
Since 2002, Juliet has managed her own consultancy, UK Expat, which has gone from strength to strength. Juliet advises clients from all walks of life, from British people wishing to retire or emigrate to Australia to directors of large multinationals and foreign nationals working on assignment in the UK.
